Kochek: Dry Hydrant Strainer, 8" PVC

Choose Back-Flushing Cover, Fixed Cover, or Check Valve. Kochek’s durable, PVC strainers are designed for superior performance and long service life in a wide range of Dry Hydrant applications. These sturdy, horizontally mounted strainers are precisely perforated with holes up, per NFPA specifications. Vertically aligned 1 holes near the end cap allow easy insertion of a 1 pipe or other kind of support rod to anchor the strainer into place. It can be easily secured with a Kochek Dry Hydrant Strainer Support Clamp. Rubber plugs are included to seal these holes if a support rod is not used. A slip-fit connection allows a direct glue-on attachment to Schedule-40 PVC pipe. Choose 6 or 8 Strainer to match the diameter of your pipe.Three models to meet your needs:

Hale's Thermal Relief Valve

Hale's Thermal Relief Valve automatically protects your pump from the overheating that may be caused by "deadheading". Minimizing the need for operator attention to overheating during pumping operations, the TRV 120 automatically dumps a controlled amount of water to atmosphere or back to tank when the pump water temperature exceeds the preset value (120^oF/49^oC) of the relief valve, and then automatically closes when the water cools. when ordered as a TRV-L 120 with indicator light option, a visual warning lamp is lit when the TRV valve is open. The TRV-L 120 combines the functions of a water bypass with an operator warning system.

HALE MIV VALVE

MIV full flow butterfly design valve is located behind the operator panel - no unsightly bulky valve hanging outside the running boards. Cycles from full closed to full open position in more than 3 seconds. The patented Hale Master Intake Valve becomes an integral part of the fire pump.

• Mounts in fire pump suction. The MIV is normally sandwiched between the suction extension and suction tube. Since the valve is located behind the operator panel, the only components visible on the operator panel are the placards with indicators and a handwheel. There is no unsighlty bulky valve hanging outside the running boards creating safety hazard or obstructing other pump operating components.

Hale's new Semi-Automatic Priming Valve, Model SPV, simplifies the priming operation of your pump. The innovative design replaces the standard priming valve while saving space on the pump panel. Easily activated by a push-button control, the electric button activates the primer motor creating a vacuum. The vacuum acts on the diaphragm in the valve causing the port to open to allow priming.

Hale TPM

Monitors and responds to pressure variations on both the suction (inlet) and discharge sides of the pump from a single simple control. With the Hale TPM system integrated into your pump, you will have a totally dependable, mechanical, high pressure safety release. Acting as a supplemental relief valve, the system starts with a unique sensing device installed on the inlet side of the pump. tThis constantly monitors and controls your pump from a pressure control valve on the pump panel.

Anodes

Anodes prevent damage from galvanic corrosion within the pump. Galvanic action pits the pump and pump shaft material through the electrolysis of water in the pump. the populariety of noncorrosive water tanks and piping has increased the incidence of this type of corrosion in today's fire pump.

The Hale anode system provides a sacrificial metal which helps to diminish or prevent pump and pump shaft galvanic corrosion. Hale's anodes fit on any Hale truck mounted pump. Easy to install, they can be mounted in any position. Available in standard zinc or optional magnesium material.

• A minimum of two anodes per pump are recommended - one on the suction side and one on the discharge side.

KUSSMAUL AUTO CHARGE 11

The Auto Charge 11 is a fully automatic battery charger for vehicles with dual battery systems. This new and improved unit contains two completely independent chargers to sense and control the current to the batteries. Thus parasitic loads on one battery have no effect on the second battery. Total output current is limited to protect the charger but may be supplied to either battery if the adjacent battery does not require it. Normally the current output is proportioned between the two batteries as required. An output is provided to permit the installation of the optional remote displays. The remote displays are not required for the operation of the charger but they permit customizing the individual installation.

Newton Kwik Dump Valve

The Newton Kwik Dump model 1050 is constructed so all parts constantly in contact with water are made of stainless steel, brass, or rubber. The remainder of the valve is formed from hot-rolled, prime-painted steel. The valve comes standard with a three degree angle on the flange, with an option for a square flange. The standard valve size is 10" x 10" x 24", but length may be customized. All valves are available in mild or stainless steel, as well.

The Model 1050 Newton Kwik-Dump Valve was designed with a flip-up back plate which moves completely out of the way for improved water flow. The Model 1050 is 29% faster than any other conventional gravity-flow valve tested (including our 1010 model). The Model 1050 can dump 3000 gallons per minute under ideal conditions. As an average, an 1800 gallon tanker can be emptied in less than one minute.

The "Mop-up" Pump is perfect for flat roofs, flooded garages and basements. Features a unique non-return valve built-in just below the impeller. Liquid will stay in the pump and pump-line after shutdown and not return out on the floor. The pump bottom is rubber clad to protect against damage to the floor surface. It will pump down to 1/12 of an inch, and start up in only a small puddle of liquid. Water cleanup after a fire is made easy with the "Mop-Up" Pump. All pumps are equipped with thermal overload protection against overheating and delivered standard with 2" NPT connection. A Superior motor, with protection for longer life, less maintenance and less downtime! Note: If the pump is to be used as a portable unit it is strongly advised to add a "Ground Fault Interrupter" to the power supply line.
