Foam

FOAM PRO 2000 Series

The 2000 series is available in two models, differing only in capacity. Each system includes a Hypro triplex plunger pump and DC (12 or 24 volt) motor assembly. Also included are a microprocessor control/display unit, instruction placard, strainer, foam injection check valve, complete shielded cable set and RFI/EMI suppression kit. The system provides fully automatic foam proportioning, regardless of changes in flow or pressure, and offers convenient, push-button operation, making it the easiest system to use. LED digital readouts provide real time performance information. The optional advanced feature controller offers “auto-on” programming which automatically arms the proportioner when the fire pump is engaged.

FOAM PRO Model 3012

Extreme Class A and Class B firefighting power is at your fingertips with the FoamPro 3012 proportioner. This versatile system delivers unmatched, supercharged performance with concentrate flow from 0.1 to 12.0 gpm at 0-400 psi, all from a single pump. High-drafting capabilities allow off-board pickup for foam operations or tank refill, which is crucial for high flow situations or when changing concentrates. Unlike other pump designs that may pause in flow during operation, the pump’s triplex plungers are timed to discharge one after the other, delivering smooth, continuous injection. New, hydraulic pump-drive technology produces immediate response from minimum flow to full capacity. The system includes the same industry-proven, ultra-bright LED digital display used on other FoamPro 2000 and 3000 series proportioners.

FOAM PRO PROPORTIONERS

Proportioners FoamPro offers the ultimate proportioning system for your new or retrofit apparatus. Our flow-based, microprocessor-controlled technology allows concentrate to be delivered on demand. By injecting into the discharge side, proportioning performance is not affected by external factors such as nozzle, length of hose lay, nozzle elevation or incoming pressure to the water pump. Full fire pump discharge performance is delivered to the outlet because the flowmeter doesn't restrict water flow. No other system operates as easily and accurately as FoamPro. At the push of a button or flip of a switch, the system automatically reads water flow and injects concentrate: from 0.1% to 10.0%. Unlike other proportioning technologies, FoamPro's patented pump control assures unmatched accuracy across the full performance range, saving concentrate and dollars.

ANGUS TRIDOL FOAM

Aqueous Film Forming Foams

The Angus Tridol range of Aqueous Film Forming
Foams (AFFFs) provides a comprehensive solution to
any fire risk situation where fast fire attack is essential
to save life or prevent major escalation of the fire –
such as in the aviation industry.

Tridol is specially formulated from “oil shedding”
fluorocarbon surfactants which have excellent foaming
properties and which produce a vapor-suppressing
aqueous film on flammable hydrocarbon liquids. The
use of these chemicals ensures that fire knockdown
performance is maximized, with rapid foam cover
and extinction.

There is a Tridol product for every application,
including 1% for specialized applications where storage
space is at a premium, two low-temperature grades
at 3% and one at 6%, in addition to the regular UL
Listed grades.

 ANGUS HI-EX FOAM

  • Produces extremely stable long lasting foam

  • Can be used with fresh or sea water

  • Suitable for all medium and high expansion equipment

  • Economical to use

  ANGUS TRIDOL 3-6% AR-AFFF

Alcohol-Resistant Aqueous Film Forming Foam

Tridol is an Alcohol-Resistant Aqueous Film
Forming Foam (AR-AFFF) designed for use on a wide
range of hydrocarbon and water miscible fuels. It is
suitable for use with fresh, sea or brackish water.

Tridol is available in one concentrate for use
at 3% proportioning on hydrocarbon fuels and at
6% on polar solvents and is U.L. listed as both an
AFFF and an alcohol-resistant foam concentrate.
A U.L. listed low-temperature grade is also available.

When used on polar solvent liquids (such as
alcohols, ketones and esters) a tough, polymeric
membrane layer is formed to separate the foam
blanket from the polar fuel, and help prevent vapor
emissions.

ANGUS PETROSEAL

Film Forming Fluoroprotein Foams

Available as a 3% or 6% concentrate, Angus

ANGUS  HICOMBAT A

0.1% - 1% Class A Foam

Environmentally responsible HiCombat™ A Class A foam
concentrate, is a unique new formulation providing
unmatched firefighting performance and flexibility.
HiCombat™ A is specially designed for use in Class A/B
foam systems and is excellent for Compressed Air Foam
Systems (CAFS). This environmentally responsible
formulation does not contain reportable components
under SARA Title III, Section 313 of 40 CFR-372, or
CERCLA.

WORKS TWO WAYS

HiCombat™ A foam concentrate works in two ways. First,
HiCombat™ A improves the penetrating capability of
water. It reduces the surface tension of plain water, which
allows it to penetrate surfaces where water might normally
run off, to reach deep-seated fires. This helps reduce
the amount of water required to extinguish the fire and
also provides quicker knockdown. Secondly, HiCombat™
A increases the heat absorbing capabilities of water.
Foaming ingredients give water the ability to adhere to
vertical surfaces which allows the water longer contact
with the fuel. The longer the water is in contact with the
fuel, the more heat it is able to absorb. A coating of Class
A foam may also be used for exposure protection to prevent
fuels from igniting by raising their moisture content
and providing a tough protective barrier to an oncoming
flame front.
